As I’m writing this I’m wondering if the word ‘zoom’ will ever slope back to the world of photography or cartoon cars, tail between its digital legs; nobody using it because we have no need of a shorthand anymore. Will that happen? It feels...good to wonder about something else. Which was the point of the zOOM! DrinKS N Chaaat & QUIZ! @7pm with the gaaang!

I watch them on the screen, six little boxes stacked up. I see their mouths moving, the drag and trace of backgrounds, filters. Sometimes I mute. Sometimes I hide.
I want to see them. I do. So much. I want to talk with them. But I can’t bear the tight space around their faces, the colours of their lives - bright, unyielding, stuffed with normal chaos - not yet. Not yet. I beat myself up over this because I know they love me. I know they care. I know they loved her. But I can’t...not yet...I can’t let them share her yet. Not yet.
Is this selfish of me?
She’s made up of a hundred million pixels. And this will never ever be enough.
